At Art of Swimming, we believe that everyone can learn to swim, but not everyone has the same learning style. This is why our private swim instructors are American Red Cross Lifeguards and/or Water Safety instructors certified. They then go on to have approximately 100+ hours of additional training in the Montessoro Method of swim instruction.

We strive for greatness and progress with each student we teach. Our experienced instructors will ensure you see progress within the first few swim lessons. We want everyone to learn to swim, so we move our students through the swimming process quickly. Our students do not just swim, they swim with excellent technique for their age and have incredible endurance for their own safety.

In addition to our training, instructors are experienced with years of teaching swimming lessons in the Hamptons. Our instructors have had the unique opportunity to have provided swim lessons for families worldwide. They have taught children and adults with various backgrounds and provide lessons with each student’s abilities in mind. Our private swim instructors will ensure you or your child will have a fun, engaging, and educational swim lesson each time they arrive at your home.

The Montessoro Method is a child-centered, kinesthetic, approach developed by Vicki over 48 years. It encompasses educational methodology, child development, child psychology, learning styles, learning differences, abilities, and Vicki’s swimming progressions. This method maximizes results in a shorter period decreasing the overall cost. Children taught with this method are often ready for a swim team before the age of 6, and can regularly swim 2-4 lengths of the pool by 4 1/2 and the width of the pool by 3 1/2, if they are started young and are not afraid to put their face in.
